Le Vie en Rose: Part 1

This song was playing at Auggies tonight when we left. I might be two glasses of wine too much into tonight (especially after a seriously hot Bikram Yoga session) but I feel like I need it on my blog.  I need to come back to it, when I’m happy, sad, lonely, nostalgic, in love, out of love,  It’s so agelessly beautiful – the melody, the lyrics, Edith Piaf! I personally don’t think class ever goes out of style – and she had it! I wish more women chose to carry themselves like that nowadays. I feel like we get sucked into this competitive rat race against everyone – our male counterparts in the workplace, our female counterparts in the work place, and every flesh-bearing thrill walking down the street. We are always one-upping, but are we moving up, or are we actually sinking lower?

I’m too tired to get into this tonight. But I’ll return to this topic. For now, pour another glass of wine, and enjoy the feeling of Le Vie en Rose.

If you want to see a video of the Sparrow herself performing, check this out.

For those of us that took Spanish in High school, the translation can be found here.
